Predesigned Coaching Programs For Families

Healthy Families 

(This will be offered for small groups periodically and is also available to individual families at additional cost)

$40.00/small group session (meet every other week - $20.00/week) $50.00/individual session

This is a 12 session program designed to guide you in making lifestyle changes so that everyone in your family is healthier in a well rounded way. Overall health is achieved through the food we eat, how we spend our time and how often and how much we move our bodies.  We'll briefly look at current health statistics for children and adults due to our modern, fast-paced lifestyle. You'll learn strategies for healthier eating, how to build healthier immune systems through diet, how to balance how kids and adults spend time and the enormous role being active plays in overall health for all age groups. We'll explore how anxiety and poor eating and sleep habits affect our health and how to improve them.  We'll look at structured vs. unstructured play, screen time and social media and talk about the importance of schedules and finding a good balance between "work" and "play".  We'll explore mindfulness and how the entire family benefits from parents having "me time".  As we work our way through the 12 sessions, you'll be encouraged to set small biweekly goals aimed at positively changing your family's lifestyle, so that when we wrap up, your family will be living healthier overall. Ongoing support via email or text will be available. There are optional add ons: Food Shopping Strategy Tour, Makeover Support Sessions for Pantry, Fridge and Freezer at your home and a Farmers Market Tour. Small, gradual changes can yield big results! Healthy Family Eating

(This will be offered for small groups periodically and is also available to individual families at additional cost)

$40.00/small group session (meet every other week - $20.00/week) $50.00/individual session

This is a 10 session program designed to guide you in feeding your family healthy meals and snacks.  It will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to provide simple, but nutritious food choices everyday.  You will learn the building blocks of every good meal and snack, how to build healthier immune systems through diet and will be given strategies and suggested items to"rebuild" your pantry, fridge and freezer with healthy, cost conscious foods and ingredients so that you have what you need to create simple, healthy snacks and meals. Learn healthy food swaps for the foods your kids love, such as breaded chicken "nuggets", acquire a wide range of kid friendly recipes the whole family will enjoy and look at the benefits of involving your kids in food choice and prep. You'll learn food shopping strategies that support the purchase of healthy foods and ingredients and for an additional fee have the opportunity to learn to better navigate the grocery store of your choice to support your healthy eating style and/or schedule a guided visit to the Coastal Growers Farmers Market (or market of your choice), a year round market with fresh, local produce and many other healthy options for your family. As we work our way through the 10 sessions, you'll be encouraged to set small biweekly goals aimed at positively changing your family's lifestyle, so that when we wrap up, your family will be living healthier overall. Ongoing support via email or text will be available. Overall, you'll learn that eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive, difficult or time consuming and leads to generally better health, which means fewer colds, "bugs" and lost work and school days.

Personalized Family Health Coaching

(designed for parents)

$55.00/session (meet every other week - $27.50/week))

This is a 12 session program completely personalized to meet your family's needs.  The program will be developed with you and designed to help your family reach its specific lifestyle goals.  You will receive research based education and strategies to help you make the changes you desire for your family.  Manageable, bi-weekly mini goals set with your "coach" along with ongoing support, encouragement and accountability provide a recipe for success.  Research has  found that lasting lifestyle change takes time to  implement, so this personalized program is 6 months long, giving you the time you need to establish new habits with the support of a personal coach.  

  • Attend 12 fifty-minute personalized health coaching sessions

  • Meet every other week for 6 months at a time of your choice

  • Set your own goals with support from your coach

  • Leave each session with 2 to 3 mini goals to focus on

  • Receive health and wellness handouts, recipes and research matched to your personal needs and interests

Ten Day Sugar Detox 

$40.00/small group session  $50.00/individual session

4 sessions with information, handouts and session to session goal setting. Ongoing support and accountability via text or email.

 

Do you crave sugar and carbs? Then this mini course is for you! This is a four-session mini class designed to help you prepare for and complete a ten-day sugar detox using real, whole foods. Daily support will be provided via text. Handouts including lists of allowable foods, menu ideas and tasty recipes will be provided. Post detox guidance is included to support reintroduction of food categories not allowed during the ten-day period.

Fast Track Plan

(This will be offered to small groups periodically, but is also available to individuals at additional cost)

$40.00/small group session (meet every other week)  $50.00/individual session

Personalized Individual Health Coaching

$55.00/session (meet every other week - $27.50/week))

12 personalized coaching sessions developed with you and designed to help you reach your personal lifestyle goals.  You will receive research based education and strategies. Manageable, bi-weekly mini goals set with your coach along with ongoing support, encouragement and accountability provide a recipe for success!  Research has found that lasting lifestyle change takes time to implement. This personalized program is 6 months long, so that you have the time to establish the new habits you desire with the support of a personal coach.

Multi Session Mini Classes  –  these are 4 to 6 session programs for adults each with its own wellness focus

Mindful Eating for Weight Loss - This 4-session mini class explores mindful eating strategies and how, when incorporated into your lifestyle with fidelity, they can be used as a weight loss strategy. This will be small group and will include a week of preparation followed by two full weeks of eating mindfully for weight loss with built in check in/troubleshooting sessions. Not Available as a four-hour presentation.

"Let's Get Moving!" 4 sessions - This combines 4 of Your Way to Health RI's presentations into one cohesive class to help get you moving!  We'll take a brief look at the current health statistics for adults, including the detrimental effects of a sedentary lifestyle on our health and move into how to incorporate more activity into your life.  We will talk about ways to be more active in general, including at work, and how to identify activities you enjoy so that you can become more active overall in a way that doesn't wear you down.  We'll explore different types of exercise, the current recommendations and provide strategies to help motivate you to lead a more active lifestyle. Each week will have a different focus and you'll be provided with research based background information, handouts, support to determine where you currently are in terms of hydration, activity level and exercise and strategies for improving these areas successfully.  An active body is a healthier body!

"Going Plant Based for a Healthier YOU!" - This 3-session mini class will explore the advantages of plant-based eating. It doesn't have to be "all or none"! You choose how plant based you want to be. Learn the ins and outs of a whole food, plant-based diet and see what works for you.

Simple Healthy Habits for Super Busy People - This 4-session mini class focuses on living a healthy lifestyle even when you’re super busy. You’ll learn food and nutrition strategies (including prepping ahead), strategies for getting regular exercise, ways to manage stress and strategies for getting the sleep you need.

 

“Good Night, Sleep Tight” – This 4-session mini class explores the health benefits of good quality sleep. It combines “Sleep and Your Health”, “How Did You Sleep Last Night?”, “How Much Sleep Do I Need and How Do I Get It?” and “Creating a Blissful Bedroom”.
